The interaction of all components
To be able to uniquely identify the LichtWART controller, all three components are activated and registered. This is the only way to ensure that the right assets are controlled and that the received measured values and alarms can be assigned to the right assets.
- The LichtWART module has a serial number and an IMEI. Both are printed on the housing label. The LichtWART module is not yet activated on delivery.
- The Deutsche Telekom SIM card has an ICCID. You can find this printed on the card. The SIM is already activated on delivery.
- When the LichtWART module is switched on for the first time with the SIM card inserted, a data connection is established via Deutsche Telekom M2M with the Deutsche Telekom Cloud and the LichtWART module is activated. By linking the IMEI number of the LichtWART module with the ICCID of the Deutsche Telekom SIM card, the uniqueness of your LichtWART control is ensured.
Delivery methods
You can either have the LichtWART controller delivered already wired, activated, registered and configured in an electrical enclosure. Then you can start controlling and monitoring in lichtwart.cloud immediately after installing the assets.
Or you have decided to install the LichtWART hardware and SIM card yourself. In this case, you must perform the activation and registration yourself. Please then proceed according to the instructions you received with the Deutsche Telekom SIM card.
