1. Preparation of TRIDONIC interface - without connected DALI power supplies
The TRIDONIC interface must first be set to the correct data transmission after installation has been completed:
- connect TRIDONIC interface with power
- press and hold the test button on the TRIDONIC module. release the button in the 4th orange phase
- the setting is maintained even if the interface is disconnected from the power supply
2a. Recommended: Address DALI drivers individually (in their own order).
The correct order of the converters facilitates configuration and management in the cloud! We recommend to label all DALI power supplies with the desired DALI address in advance and to proceed in the desired order as follows:
- wire everything completely - connect DALI power supplies with power but wire only the first DALI driver with the DALI bus.
- connect LichtWART with power
- LW module recognizes the first DALI driver -> control LED of LichtWART module no longer lights orange
- connect the next DALI driver to the DALI bus
- Press hardware reset of the LichtWART module and wait until LED no longer lights orange (approx. 90 seconds)
- If necessary for all further DALI drivers continue with 4. until all DALI drivers are initialized.
2b. Alternatively: Automatically address DALI drivers and identify them later on
A common, chaotic addressing of the DALI drivers can save time during the first initialization of very large assets. However, before setting up the asset(s) in the cloud, each power supply must then first be identified, e.g. by switching the individual DALI drivers on/off via the cloud.
- Wire everything up completely and connect DALI drivers to power.
- Connect LichtWART to power
- LW module detects all DALI drivers -> control LED of LichtWART module no longer lights up orange (depending on number of DALI drivers up to 3 minutes)
- In the cloud, switch the DALI drivers on/off individually and add cloud entry and label power supply housing.
